LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — It was just a few days before his death when six-year-old Abel Torres-Aquino drew his last picture and wrote a note filled with color and love.
His parents, Karina Aquino and Juan Torres, hold on to that small piece of his world as they face an unimaginable loss.
"The spiritual side of us is at peace because we know he's in a good place, we know he's in the presence of our creator, but the human, the flesh in us, misses him deeply," said Karina.
Abel's parents say he was hit and killed by a car while riding his bike in front of their home on Parkview Drive in Lawrenceville Saturday night.
"He was the only boy of the family, he was my only son, he was my partner. He was my mini me," Juan said softly.
