CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Why did the turkey cross the road?
Well, that’s what some Chesterfield County residents, like Marc Fitzgerald and his family, are trying to figure out.
“We were coming down the Charter Colony Parkway and the turkey was coming right off the sidewalk and he was coming right up to the car to say hi to us,” Fitzgerald said.
And as it would turn out, the Fitzgeralds weren’t the only ones who noticed a peculiar pedestrian.
“My step-daughter brought it to my attention and said ‘what is that over there?’ one day and I said, ‘that’s a turkey. That’s a real turkey on the side of the highway,’” said Jon Houck, a Chesterfield County resident.
That turkey proved to be one punctual poultry, showing up at the same time and place, right at the connection of Powhite P
