Ariana Grande was shielded by her “ Wicked: For Good ” co-star Cynthia Erivo from an overzealous fan who rushed them at the Singapore premiere of their new movie.

The man who rushed Grande, Johnson Wen, later appeared in court where local media reported he was charged with being a public nuisance.

Wen posted the video to his own Instagram account where he thanked Grande for “letting” him jump on to the carpet. Wen has an Instagram account under the name “Pyjama Man” where he posts about rushing concert stages and sporting events.

But it did not appear that Grande was aware of the situation in the video, looking scared as the man ran toward her and put his arm around her while she stood beside her “Wicked” co-star Michelle Yeoh.
