A detective with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office filed a $30 million tort claim alleging a fellow detective created AI content specifically sexualizing her.

According to the tort claim, obtained by KIRO 7 , a detective on the force allegedly fabricated images of the victim, once the lone female detective in the department, performing sexual acts on the suspect’s father. The AI-generated video was then shared with multiple officers in the department.

According to the victim, this incident is part of a long-standing hostile work environment. This specific incident allegedly occurred in April.
