Iunderstand that Mr. Macsherry in Ocean City would take issue with somebody from Annapolis commenting on our shared ocean resource (“ Let Ocean City decide on windmills ,” Nov. 13). However, the location, almost 11 miles from his beaches, has the highest potential for wind energy generation in the state.

I’ve traversed our country and seen wind turbines practically on top of the highway and dotting beautiful mountaintop vistas. My travels to Denmark and the Netherlands exposed me to large offshore wind farms visible across their seaside panorama. The first such facility was commissioned in 1991.
