One Penobscot County high school started with a dream of lighting up their football field. While it appeared unreachable at first, they are now on the verge of making that vision a reality.
This Friday, the dexter tigers celebrated receiving an additional 50,000 dollars for placing third in this year's T-Mobile Friday night lights competition. In a sea of pink, T-Mobile representatives attended the school to present the check to the eager students at an assembly.
"The students have been amazing, if you just walk into the gym, they're all wearing magenta. We've been here a few times just walking through the parking lot all the kids' cars are covered in magenta. It's just really been an outpouring of support," said rural market manager for T-Mobile nick Nowell.
