A western Pennsylvania man convicted of trying to meet an FBI agent posing as a preteen girl for sex has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison, according to acting U.S. Attorney Tony Rivetti in Pittsburgh.
Ryan Peters, 36, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, will also spend 15 years on supervised released after serving his sentence for attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity and possession of child sexual abuse material.
A statement from Rivetti said that authorities served a search warrant on Peters’ home following tips to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
