SRINAGAR, Nov 14: The J&K Union Territory Level Bankers’ Committee (UTLBC) today organised mega awareness-cum-settlement camps in Jammu and Srinagar to help people identify, verify and claim their unclaimed financial assets lying with banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, pension funds and other institutions.

The camps were held under the nationwide campaign “Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar,” aimed at ensuring a smooth and transparent process for settling unclaimed amounts.

Both Jammu and Srinagar saw a strong public response after extensive publicity by banks and other stakeholders.

Officials said around Rs 1.62 crore, including Rs five lakh in unclaimed insurance, was settled and handed over to verified claimants during the camps.
