The Green Bay Packers badly need to defeat the New York Giants on Nov. 16.

The Packers, at 5-3-1, are in third place in the NFC North, behind the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears . The game against the Giants is at noon CT at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Bears play the Vikings at noon in Minnesota, and the Lions play the Eagles on Sunday night in Philadelphia.

To the Packers' benefit, possibly, New York will take the field with a new quarterback and a new coach. Giants coach Brian Daboll was fired after last week's come-from-in-front loss to the Bears, and exceptional rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was knocked out of the game with a concussion. He will not play against the Packers.
