Gallatin High’s run to its first volleyball state championship in 2024 included 10 hectic sets across two matches in the championship round against crosstown rival Bozeman High. In this year’s state tournament, the Raptors needed just 12 games total over the course of four matches in three days.
It was an efficient and dominating display at Montana State’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse to cap another championship season. The Eastern AA’s No. 1 seed, Gallatin swept past Kalispell Glacier and Great Falls CMR on Wednesday and dispatched Bozeman in the undefeated semifinal on Thursday. On Friday, the Raptors beat CMR again for the title by set scores 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.
