A week after an intruder stabbed a Murrieta couple — killing the husband and wounding the wife — city officials hosted a town hall Thursday, Nov. 13, to address a recent uptick in crime.
The main topic of discussion, largely for residents in the Country Walk neighborhood and surrounding areas, was the Nov. 5 stabbing north of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and east of the 215 Freeway.
Mayor Cindy Warren and Police Chief Matt Henry, along with City Council members and other officials, opened the door to the public to discuss the incident and other public safety concerns in an effort to open communication and ensure safety.
