Cameron Green has credited Marnus Labuschagne for providing guidance on how to be a success at No.3 as Australia's selectors decide where the star allrounder bats in the first Ashes Test.
And Green has thrown his support behind having two allrounders in the Test XI, saying his combination with Beau Webster has worked well in the past.
Green, fresh from an accomplished 94 for WA at Sheffield Shield level as well as getting through 16 overs for the match, showed by topping the batting aggregates for Australia on this year's tour of the West Indies he has the temperament and ability to bat No.3 in Test cricket.
With Labuschagne set for a recall in Perth, Green could be set to revert to the middle order now that he is back bowling after last year's back surgery. He is open to both scenarios
