PERRY COUNTY, Ala. ( WSFA ) - Special agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation launched a homicide investigation Wednesday at the request of the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffery Holifield, 68, of Marion, was found dead in the 2000 block of Onrow Tubbs Road in Marion.

Investigators identified Anastassja “Anya” Cooper, 32, of Marion, as the suspect in this case.

SBI is asking the public’s assistance in locating Cooper for questioning. She is described as 5′9 and weighing about 216 lbs. She may also have or be traveling with a mixed-breed dog named “Banana.”
