ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An urgent search is underway for a man who went missing while on a hike in north Georgia.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office says 67-year-old Charles Hosch was last seen on the Byron Herbert Reece Trailhead on Nov. 11. He was wearing khaki pants, a camel-color sweater and dark green jacket.

Hosch is an adjunct professor at the Southern Methodist University Dedman Law School in Dallas, Texas.

“Search and Rescue has asked that this information reach as many people as possible,” the school said in a statement. “We are holding Charles and his family in our thoughts.”
