COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A 51-home neighborhood has filed a lawsuit against Richland School District One, claiming the district’s now-demolished early learning center construction project has caused routine flooding for nearly two years.
The Creekside Homeowners Association filed suit this week, accusing the district of diverting stormwater from the now-defunct construction site directly into their aging drainage system.
The community off Caughman Road is separated from the site by a small easement.
The Homeowners Association says they’ve been extremely patient and a “ready and willing participant” in trying to get to a solution here.
Seemingly without one in sight, they decided to band together and take legal action.
