Kelowna Chiefs defenceman Evan Murray is turning heads around the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League after a dominant weekend performance that earned him a spot on the league’s Team of the Week for the period ending November 9.

The Kimberley native played a key role in helping the Chiefs sweep their weekend schedule, contributing offensively and defensively in equal measure. Murray scored the game-winning goal in a 7–2 victory over the Merritt Centennials, wiring a wrist shot from open space, and added three assists over the two games. He finished the week with a plus-7 rating while averaging just under 16 minutes of ice time per game.
