Experts have warned that a “distressing” sign of dementia could appear in the evening. Known as “sundowning”, this issue could change how someone behaves and even continue into the night.
Dementia is a syndrome, or a group of symptoms, linked to the progressive decline of the brain. Many people are aware that memory loss is one such symptom, however, it can also lead to issues such as personality changes and mobility problems.
And according to the Alzheimer’s Society , some symptoms can appear towards the end of the day. Known as “sundowning”, the affected person could become distressed or agitated.
