SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A very quiet fundraiser got a lot of attention on Friday, Nov. 14.
Rosecrance Jackson Centers, a local non-profit that serves thousands of people every year, held its very first Silent Disco fundraiser at Design West Studio in Sioux City.
To get in, people could either pay $10, or donate a piece of men’s essential clothing for those going through recovery.
Once in, everyone had the chance to wear a pair of headphones, choose one of 3 different DJs, then boogie.
“We know people don’t like loud music, so we just give them the option to control their own volume with these headphones. The color indicated in the headphones is what channel you’re on. So we could be listening to R&B, country, and 2000s hip-hop,” said Omar Munoz, Chief Experience Officer at River City Silen
