The FBI is searching for a man with ties to Mahwah and New York City who they say entered a Newark federal building while carrying a bat.
Keith Michael Lisa, 51, is wanted for possession of a dangerous weapon in a federal facility and depredation of federal property, the FBI said.
According to the FBI, Lisa entered the Peter W. Rodino building on Wednesday, Nov. 12, while in possession of a bat. Agents said that after he was denied entry, he got rid of the bat and returned. Once inside, he proceeded to the U.S. Attorney’s Office where he damaged government property, the flier says.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Lisa on Thursday, Nov. 13, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. The FBI is offering a reward of “up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Keith Michael Lisa.”
Lisa is described as 6-foot-3 and 200 to 230 pounds with brown/gray hair and brown eyes. He has ties to New York City, New York and Mahwah, agents said.
The FBI warns he should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.
