MINNEAPOLIS — Two late, third-period goals pushed Augsburg to a 4-2 home win over Concordia in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s hockey on Friday night.
The teams traded goals in the first and second period, with Augsburg’s Emma Abrahamson scoring in the first and Concordia’s Addie Moos tallying a power-play goal in the second.
Nora Stepan then gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead early in the third before Concordia’s Taylyn Cope’s tied the game 2-2 at the 7:29 mark. But Ella Olson and Payton Behr scored at 12:24 and 16:15 in the third, respectively, for the Eagles’ win.
Concordia’s Abby Huselid had 34 saves as Augsburg had 38 shots on goal, compared to 17 for the Cobbers, who fell to 0-2 in the MIAC and 0-3 on the season.
