LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Outlet Shoppes of Laredo hosted its 9th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the evening of Nov.14, officially kicking off the holiday season.

Families gathered at the shopping center to watch the tree lighting and participate in holiday festivities. Santa landed at the event, bringing excitement to children and families attending the celebration.

The ceremony included artificial snow, goodie bags and live music adding to the holiday atmosphere for attendees.

The annual tree lighting serves as the traditional start to the holiday season at the Outlet Shoppes of Laredo.
