WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The search for 15-year-old Carlos Colindres came to a tragic end Thursday after deputies found his body in a ravine off Highway 158 in Forsyth County. Colindres had been missing for nearly three weeks after leaving a party on October 26.
According to Winston-Salem Police, officers first responded to a report of Colindres running away on October 26 around 3:30 p.m. Investigators learned he had attended a party earlier that morning between 2 and 3 a.m. and never returned home. Patrol officers immediately began interviewing family, friends, and anyone who might have seen him that day, but leads were limited.
