OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Tranquility park’s mountain biking trails closed this week for renovations at the park.
It’s leaving dozens of kids who trained there in limbo for the next year-and-a-half.
A lot of riders will tell you mountain biking is a passion.
“You feel like you’re a kid again getting to go play in the woods,” said Sean Speck, who coaches mountain biking and works with Nebraska DEVO and NICA, both mountain biking programs.
It’s also true for his son
“All of the stuff that’s bothering him, all the stress, all the things that are challenges for him kind of melt away,” Sean said.
Sean’s at Saddlebrook Park to host a cyclocross race tomorrow.
“A lot of stakes and a lot of tape,” Sean said.
