Accidental Explosion in Srinagar’s Nowgam leaves 9 dead, dozens injured; security tightened in area

Srinagar, Nov 15: The death toll in the Nowgam Police Station explosion in Srinagar, Kashmir, rises to nine, with 27 injured. The accidental explosion occurred while authorities were extracting samples from a large cache of explosives confiscated in Faridabad, the “White Collar” terror module case. The casualties and injured were mostly police officials and forensic officials. Security forces have been reinforced in the vicinity of the Nowgam police station, where the explosion took place.
