The Beekman Tigers, who scored 86 points in their regular-season finale, entered Country Day's Freedom Field intent on grinding out a playoff victory.

The Cajuns, seeded No. 11, scored on every possession of the first half, and senior linebacker Paul Curry returned a Beekman fumble 75 yards for a touchdown and 43-7 lead on the way to a 56-15 thrashing Friday in a Division III select first-round game.

The Cajuns (7-4) next will play No. 6-seeded Calvary Baptist. No. 22 Beekman, members of District 2-2A, had lost six consecutive games before outlasting Madison, 86-58, in its previous game.
