Coming into its Division I select first-round playoff game at Hunter Stadium, ninth-seeded St. Paul’s knew it was likely the final home game of the season.
The Wolves took advantage of the friendly confines, racking up 400-plus yards and forcing three turnovers in the first half alone en route to a dominating 56-7 win over 24th-seeded Pineville on Nov. 14.
“We got off to a great start all around,” St. Paul’s coach Kenny Sears said. “It was a great way to start the playoffs, but the challenge gets harder every rung that you go up. It’ll be a tough challenge going to Shreveport next week, so we need to have great practices and focus on getting better.”
The Wolves (9-2) will travel to eighth-seeded Evangel (8-2) in the second round, but first, they sent off the 2025 home season with a bang
