TAMA COUNTY, Iowa —
A Tama County man has been sentenced for possession of child pornography.
Jacob Yang, 26, was sentenced to 17.5 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing and possessing child pornography.
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa said Yang admitted to sending pornography to other people in March 2024. The court said Yang used messaging apps to solicit sex from multiple children and stored the content on his phone and computer.
Yang must serve five years of supervised release after the prison term. He must also pay $15,000 in restitution to the victims.
