At least nine people were killed and 27 injured when an accidental blast tore through the Nowgam police station in Srinagar on Friday night.
Officials said the explosion occurred as authorities were extracting samples from a cache of explosives seized in the Faridabad terror module case , adding that the blast was triggered by the unstable nature of the chemicals. Officials said the material was part of the 360 kg of explosives recovered from the rented residence of arrested accused Dr Muzammil Ganaie from Haryana's Faridabad.
