Medical student from Al-Falah University held in Red Fort car blast probe

Nisar Alam traced to Dalkhola, arrested by NIA and West Bengal Police

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), in coordination with the West Bengal Police, arrested an M.B.B.S. student from Al-Falah University, Faridabad, in connection with the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station earlier this week. Officials confirmed on Saturday that the accused, identified as Nisar Alam, was detained from Dalkhola in North Dinajpur district, West Bengal , following a joint operation.

According to sources, Alam and his family had been residing in Ludhiana, Punjab, although their ancestral home remains in Dalkhola. He reportedly returned to the area earlier
