The Brantford Bulldogs got one point on Friday night against the Flint Firebirds but believe they should have had more time and opportunity for a second one.
Tied 2-2 at the TD Civic Centre late in overtime, the Firebirds scored with 1:58 remaining in the extra period.
As is the norm when a game ends, fans got out of their seats and started to file out of the arena as Bulldogs players left the ice. However, it wasn’t long until assistant coach Ryan Kuwabara returned to the bench, picked up an iPad and began watching the referees at the timekeepers area.
With Brantford players coming back onto the ice, the officials took out the iPad as the scoreboard let those remaining know that the play resulting in the winning goal was under review. With many people in the dark as to what was going o
