In one of the nail-biters in the Bihar Assembly election, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Satish Kumar Yadav emerged victorious from the Ramgarh seat, defeating his BJP rival by a razor-thin margin of just 30 votes.

This marks the BSP’s sole victory in the state, where the Mayawati-led party contested 192 out of the 243 seats.

The counting for the Ramgarh seat, which falls under the Buxar Lok Sabha constituency, was a nail-biter and continued late into the night. Although Yadav maintained a lead for much of the day, his margin steadily dwindled as the counting progressed.

In the final tally, Yadav secured 72,689 votes, narrowly surpassing BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh, who garnered 72,659 votes.
