Clay with Klae Studio has become one of Shillong’s most popular creative spaces, offering pottery classes and handmade products while building a warm community around art and learning.
The studio was started by Dabormaian Kharmawphlang, Maya-ika Lamar, and Bishal Deka. The idea began as a casual conversation among the three in Delhi, who wanted to create a place in Meghalaya where clay could be shaped into “story, form and function.”
Speaking to Hub News , the founders said their aim was to build something that truly belonged to Shillong. “Today, we sell products and offer pottery experiences, but more importantly, we’ve created a space people want to be part of,” they said. “Students, working professionals and hobbyists, come here to slow down, learn and find joy in making something
