MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - The Middlesboro Yellow Jackets prevailed in a thrilling contest against Hazard on Friday, 44-36.
The Yellow Jackets scored on their opening possession to make it 8-0.
Hazard got on the board by way of William Shoptaw connecting with Connor Holbrook.
After taking advantage of a Hazard penalty on the ensuing kickoff, Larry French’s crew turned the great field position into points. The drive culminated with a rushing score from Caden Lawson.
Hazard countered with a rushing touchdown by Cameron Miller on their next drive. Middlesboro led, 30-18 at the half.
