In a stunning verdict, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has stormed back to power in Bihar , clinching 202 out of 243 Assembly seats, well beyond the two-thirds mark. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), despite a hard-fought campaign, could manage only 25 seats, while its INDIA‑bloc allies like Congress and the Left added a few more, bringing their total to about 35.

In a surprising twist, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), contesting solo, scraped through with just one seat. The Ramgarh assembly seat in Kaimur district went in favour of BSP’s candidate, Satish Kumar, also known as Pintu Yadav.

His victory is notable, having been secured by a razor-thin margin of just 30 votes, making it one of the closest outcomes of the 2025 Bihar assembly election .
