Alon Michaeli was a late signee this past summer. And then he missed his first collegiate game due to a minor ankle injury.

Yet Michaeli already looks like a player trying to make up for lost time.

The freshman from Israel turned in a huge game off the bench on Friday, helping the Colorado men’s basketball team post an impressive nonconference victory in a 97-88 decision at the CU Events Center.

Michaeli became the second CU player to score at least 20 points off the bench within the first three games, posting 20 points and six rebounds.
