BALDWIN PARK — The Baldwin Park football team is back in the CIF Southern Section semifinals for a second consecutive season after a 48-10 blowout victory over Shadow Hills in Friday’s Division 11 quarterfinals.
Braves freshman running back Jacory Coleman, senior quarterback Valentino May and a strong line on both sides of the ball led the way as they score over 40 points for a second consecutive week after beating Marantha, 42-28, last week.
The Braves (7-5) will hit the road in the semifinals to take on undefeated Western Christian (12-0), who was a 21-14 winner over El Monte.
Coleman totaled 289 all-purpose yards with four touchdowns while May threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns against one interception.
The Braves’ defense forced two turnovers, scored following a fumble recove
