The Cabrillo football team's season ended on Friday night with a 22-19 loss to Bishop Union in the CIF-Central Division 5 quarterfinals.

The Conquistadors gave up a late lead in the final minute when the Broncos scored a rushing touchdown with less than a minute to go.

After grabbing an early interception in the first quarter, Cabrillo marched down the field to score a rushing touchdown, but mixed the extra point.

Bishop Union then scored back to back touchdowns to take a 14-6 lead in the third quarter but Cabrillo saw two scores on its own to regain the lead.

Following the Broncos touchdown, Cabrillo had one last possession to win the game but fell short.

The Conquistadors finished the year with an 8-4 record.
