Two flood alerts remain active in Greater Manchester after Storm Claudia brought massive downpours.

Greater Manchester was among the areas of the UK battered by long, heavy downpours and strong winds on Friday.

Two flood alerts were issued yesterday and remain are still in force this morning (November 15).

According to the Environment Agency, who publish their alerts on the government website, flooding is still possible for the 'Middle River Mersey catchment' including areas near Bramhall, Stockport, Sale, Altrincham and Urmston.
