Napoli legend Marek Hamsik once weighed up a transfer to Manchester United before embracing rural life.

The midfielder - who holds the club's all-time appearance record with 520 matches - dedicated 12 years to the Italian side between 2007 and 2019. The Slovakian star went on to represent Dalian Professional, IFK Goteborg and Trabzonspor before retiring from professional football in 2023.

Whilst he swiftly embarked on a coaching role as assistant to the Slovenia national side, he simultaneously pursued a completely different venture away from the pitch.
