Irecommend that an ongoing study of desalination be started in Honolulu and Maui. Some Middle East countries get up to 90% of their water this way. Given our ongoing drought, at least a study needs to be done.

I was surprised to learn that some desalination efforts in other countries have led to a surplus of fresh water for drinking.

The Governor’s Office should note whether or not studies are ongoing or planned. Let’s invite some experts from other countries for up-to-date input on new techniques.
