Accra, Nov 15 (UNI) A goal in each half secured a 2-0 victory for Japan over the Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly in Aichi, Japan.
Takumi Minamino opened the scoring in the 16th minute, converting a right-footed shot from the center of the box into the right corner of Ghana’s goal, giving the home side an early lead on Friday.
Fueled by the support of the home fans, Japan continued to push for a second goal but was unable to find the net again before halftime.
In the second half, Ghana sought to equalize; however, Japan extended the lead in the 60th minute with a goal from Ritsu Doan, bringing the final score to 2-0 in favor of the Asian side.
