A nurse who left an envelope next to an overflowing bin has been fined £1,000 by the council after she thought she was "doing the right thing." ‌

Single mum Lorretta Alvarez, 26, placed the thin cardboard package - with her address still attached - on top of a small pile of existing discarded boxes that had built up beside the communal flat bins. ‌

The mental health nurse and sole-carer for her two year old daughter thought nothing else of it , until the council tracked her
