GAME TIME: Noon at Acrisure Stadium
On Saturday, that history will take a modern twist when the Panthers and Fighting Irish meet at Acrisure Stadium. Notre Dame is ranked ninth in the latest College Football Playoff Poll, and Pitt is number 22. While the game won't affect Pitt's shot at an ACC title, it could have playoff implications.
Both teams are 7-2. The Panthers have won their last five games , led by true freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel . And after a lousy start to their season, Notre Dame has won seven in a row.
Pitt will retire Aaron Donald's number 97 jersey
