Storm Claudia is barely over but another weather alert has been issued. This time people are being warned about the cold as temperatures are set to plunge next week.
A cold health alert has been issued for next week, beginning on Monday, with experts warning of a particular risk for elderly and younger people as well as a potential increase in demand for health services.
The yellow alert covers the whole of the West Midlands as well as other parts of the UK. It is in place from 8am on November 17 to 8am on November 21.
Weather health alerts are issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in partnership with the Met Office. It's intended to provide early warning to the health and social care sector, the responder community, the voluntary and community sector and government department
