Videos of Indians abroad getting pulled up for questionable public behaviour seem to have become a recurring trend online. The latest clip to spark debate shows an Indian man washing his feet in London ’s River Thames.

The video was posted by The Last Hour News By Avni Sharma, which claimed in its caption that the man didn’t stop at rinsing his feet but went on to bathe in the river as well.

The footage has divided viewers. Several British users criticised the act, calling it “unacceptable public behaviour” for a tourist in a major city. Others, however, pushed back, arguing that the man may not have intended any disrespect and that cultural habits often play a role.
