Harrisburg and its taxpayers have paid a total of $31,864 for Mayor Wanda Williams’ legal representation in a state Ethics Commission investigation.
That’s the total paid out over two-plus years to the Philadelphia-based Montgomery McCracken firm, according to invoices the city recently released in response to a records request.
In that probe, the State Ethics Commission ordered Williams to pay a $912 penalty for improperly benefitting from city resources during a 2022 move.
The fine, the Ethics Commission order stated, must be paid by Williams directly, with no reimbursement from public funds.
