Television presenter James Martin , 53, has revealed that his recent eye surgery has made him even more exacting at work, leaving his ITV Saturday Morning team rather apprehensive.

The celebrity chef, who hosts the weekend programme from his own kitchen alongside culinary experts and celebrity guests, was questioned about his meticulous approach to every aspect of his professional life.

During an appearance on Good Housekeeping's My Life In A Biscuit Tin podcast, host Liz Moseley noted that James couldn't easily be replaced on his ITV show, as the programme is so closely linked to the chef's distinctive personality, asking: "There's obviously a real aesthetic to everything.
