MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia University football team hopes to accomplish something Saturday it has just twice since 2020 -- win a third consecutive game.

The Mountaineers (4-6, 2-5 Big 12) will get a crack at extending this hot streak against the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, Arizona.

The game will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday on TNT and truTV.

Many media outlets considered Arizona State (6-3, 4-2 Big 12) the best team in the Big 12 after finishing 11-3 last season.

The Sun Devils welcomed back quarterback Sam Leavitt and wideout Jordan Tyson.

However, Leavitt is sidelined for the remainder of the season with an injury, while Tyson has been battling an injury himself.

Arizona State hasn't had them at the same time since its 26-22 victory over then-No. 7 Texas Tech on Oct.
