Another Saturday in the SEC, another game that is going to carry humongous College Football Playoff ramifications and weight in the race for the conference championship.

The Oklahoma Sooners (7-2, 3-2 SEC) head to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-1, 6-0 SEC) in a game that could make or break the Sooners' season.

This is quite possibly the Sooners' College Football Playoff hopes on the line and Alabama's chance at a first-round bye. This one is massive. Expect defense, as well. Alabama is No. 13 in scoring defense, while Oklahoma is No. 7.

This isn't your usual Alabama pounding the rock. They get just 3.5 yards per carry and take on Oklahoma, which stonewalls teams for 2.5 yards per carry and just 83 yards per game. This game comes down to Ty Simpson for Alabama.

Oklahoma doesn't run the ball great, either, but Alabama's run defense has shown vulnerabilities, and that can be further exploited by John Mateer's legs, which have to be a huge part of the Sooners' game plan offensively.

The worry is the interception from Mateer, who has eight touchdowns to seven picks. Alabama is 3-0 in one-score games, while Oklahoma is 2-1. The Sooners took down Tennessee at home. Going into Alabama is a different situation.
