Shivamogga: A 59-year-old biker died on the spot as his motorbike collided with a diesel tanker near Santhe Market in Bejjavalli of Thirthahalli taluk on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Hanumanthappa, who was an employee with the Forest Department.

On Friday evening, Hanumanthappa reportedly was crossing the road near Bejjavalli on his bike when the speeding tanker hit his vehicle. The biker was killed on the spot due to the intensity of the collision.

Malooru Police have visited the spot and held an inspection.
